Message determined by torque (influenced by higher RPM). So, to answer your question, his peak HP increased because his torque increased. I tend to look at torque as indicative of an engines responsiveness and what occurs early in the powerband, and HP a function of how well that torque is carried into the RPM band. That is a very laymans' view of the relationship between the two, because I am a layman. Take care, Mark
